The inaugural meeting was held at the Culburra progress hall on 3rd July 1991 initiated By Jack King, and Pat and Roy King. 26 people attended the first meeting. Denerley and Coralie Woolley were instrumental in arranging a $200 donation from the Nowra Garden Club as a start up.
The meetings were held every 3rd Saturday at the progress Hall, President was Roy King, Secretary and Treasurer was Brian Hunt and assisted by the late Elsie Johnson. Pat King organised guest speakers, publicity and odd jobs that needed doing. Denerly Woolley was the first guest speaker talking on Camellias.
The first newsletter was produced in 1998. Jack King was President, Dot Rowley Secretary and Faye Manning Secretary. Murial Vallely became Secretary in 2000 and Bruce Watson President in 2002.
The Club became incorporated in 2007 and in 2008 moved from the progress hall to Waratah Hall at the Community Centre and when Banksia Hall was finished in 2010 the club moved in to its current location at Banksia Hall.
The Club has been active over the years planting trees and shrubs on many of the nature strips around Culburra as well as helping the local primary school set up a vegie garden
